The kde-artist-team proudly presents a new screenshot
featuring some of the new hicolor-icons which will be
part of the upcoming KDE-release:
ftp://upload.kde.org/pub/kde/Incoming/eyecandy.png (679KB)
It will soon appear here:
ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/Incoming/eyecandy.png
a JPG-version of much inferior quality is available, too :
ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/Incoming/eyecandy.jpg (425KB)
The next KDE-release will include a full set of these icons
replacing the current ones. You will be able to switch
between 48x48-pixel and 32x32-pixel-versions of these icons.
Optional 40-color versions for 256-color-adapters will be
available by download.
In addition the screenshot shows parts of the work
on the themes which will come with the upcoming release, too.
The new icons will appear very soon in the snapshots that
are built for the next KDE-release.
(kdebase-1.x-snapshots will contain a full set of KDE-icons
next monday. The NON-KDE-icons which are also under
heavy redesign will be included later.)
Another beautiful screenshot shows these new Icons
together with the ´System´-Widget-style created by
Daniel M. Duley. Widget styles will be part of
KDE 2.0:

Both screenshots contain ´seamless tiles´ created by
