Hello!

The current kpanel is crahsing after startup. I can see the icons in the
taskbar already.

Here is how it dies:

kiolib (KRegistry): Reading directory /usr/local/kde/share/servicetypes/
kde_appsdir() is obsolete. Try to use KStandardDirs instead
KStdDirs::findResDir(): can't find "suse.xpm" in type "mini".
KStdDirs::findResDir(): can't find "suse.xpm" in type "icon".
localkdedir is obsolete. Try to use KStandardDirs instead
