greetings, friends!

as the release of kde-1.1.2 (1.2?) approaches, it seems as if it
would be very useful for daily snapshots of the 1.1.x branch to be
tar.gz'ed and put on the ftp site, as is the case with the far more
distant 2.0 and was the case with 1.1 and 1.1.1. this enables those
who would test it out to do so with a minimum of difficulty, without
people having to make specially-assembled tarballs for the purpose as
was suggested here last week.

yes, i know there is the cvsup option, though i've spent most of the
last 19 hours trying to get it to work on my machine here with no
success, and i suspect that more people would test the new version as
it goes along if snapshots were available of the 1.1.x branch.

any chance of this happening soon?
