I'm completly new to the team, but the real developers will be pleased,
i'm sure.

I don't know if there is an emx port of egcs already, but i didn't find
any on leo.org. An actual version would at least be needed for rtti. Is
there already an os/2 qt port? This is needed for kde, too.
XFree exists, but i hated the following: When using os/2s builtin
telnet, the xterm started a telnet process running in a window on the
os/2 desktop (os/2 means here 2 desktops - one on X and one native ;-).
Though the X port is really stable. If you have a network, you can run
the startkde script via rsh in the xsession.cmd somewhere in the XFree86
directory. You may have to adapt the -display option in an copy of
startkde on your linux box and use this script instead.
I haven't got a OS/2 installation for a long time though, for i
completly moved to linux. The only thing i still use from os/2 is it's
bootmanager for different installations/root partitions.
Regards,
Holger
