For all that I know we've seen how having all the widgets we use in the libraries, I can also see that a good number of other additional support classes would also be really nice to have in various libraries. Whether that ends up turning them into shared libraries or Corba objects doesn't really matter to me, but I do think that it would be nice to build up a set of 'additional support classes' that could be used across various applications. For example, I've seen several different implementations of CDDB access and CD-Rom access, which although nice to have for specific apps, would also be well suited to some sort of support library. That way we can continue to build up a large collection of shared code across applications, which not only makes development faster as we've got more to work with, but also makes any bugfixes made more global than "it just fixes this one app".
