If they do then we should too, especially if (as Paul Campbell stated)
the original size is the most important factor. I think 48x48 would be
fine. We should still try to maintain some mechanism to allow people to
make icons of the exact size they want (eg. a single image with icons
at 16x16, 32x32 etc.) and choose the correct sized image based on the
size to be used.
