Kurt, why don't you clean this up (or not, or write something else)
and submit it to lwn.net, linuxtoday.com, slashdot.org as an
editorial?  If not, an Anonymous Coward could forward it.  :)

There never was anything official to counter Bruce's big FUD article,
better late than never.

Also, was KDE 1.1 ever announced on comp.os.linux.announce?  If not,
why not (better late than never goes).
