In which module that is? The most important is kdelibs. There
are the defaults and those were fucked up to use /. If you
once compiled such a kdelibs all other modules will follow
kdelibs and install there.

But those defaults should be fixed by now recompiling kdelibs
should heal that. 

BTW: install_root is meant to be empty for usual installations.
