  Well, it seems that it goes to / even after completely deleting the cvs
hierarchy and re-checking everything again. 
  
  In the makefile:

prefix = /usr
...
install_root = 
               ^^^???
kde_bindir = /bin
               ^^^???

   I am a not an autoconf expert so that's all that I can do.
