I had the following problem:
I selected some text in a konsole using LMB and inserted it into a
xterm.
I tried again to select some text in the konsole, but as soon as I
released the LMB
everything was unselected.
So I selected some text in the xterm, and then I selected text in the
konsole and it worked.
Strange.
