If you need that many tabs, you are better off with a list box of tree view
for your pages ( takesup less space )

KPropDlg offers this, ( a dialog with tree or tabs or wizard prev/next button
interface ) as well as AUTOMATIC updates of the KConfig object !
You can find it in the widget dir of the ftp site.

But the current KTabCtl should be extended to handle large tab quantities
anyway, and I would vote for scrolling.
