Hi John,

the predecessor for kcontrol, kcc, exactly worked this way, but it was
quite unstable and not too portable. Linking dynamic libs are no
problem, but here you have to load them dynamically, and each system
uses different functions for this, some can't do it at all etc...

So it think the current way is a good solution. I am still undecided if
kcontrol should switch to CORBA after KDE 1.1. This would allow much
better integration, but would trigger other problems. 

If anyone has a good idea or argument... :)
