Yeah, right, I hoped to do it that way. I am not sure whether this is possible
in a freeware project at all, but since (at least when I left for my holidays)
the development branch did not even compile correctly, I am not sure whether
know is the time for formalisms.

But let's open this topic for discussion. What about allowing
binary-incompatible changes from the 1st to the 7th each month? This invariably
includes a weekend for those that work on KDE mainly on weekends and five
weekdays for those that work on KDE mainly during the week. People with slow
machines or who don't like to recompile the stuff all the time could simply
stop checking out new KDE versions during this time.
