In my talk about "multi-toolkit programming" at the Linux Kongress
(http://www.linux-kongress.de) I will address this issue by demonstrating
a technique which may make porting of the gimp to KDE much easier.

It's not much more work than porting KLyX was, and it could be distributed
on many shoulders.
