Umm... thisobject->x() and thisobject->y() should do it, no?

All coordinates for widgets are stored in relation to the parent, so
moving a child widget to (0,0) should move it to (0,0) withing the parent
(not the desktop).  Top-level widgets are not even a special case, since
their coordinates are stored relative to the desktop widget.
