I have not tried anything so far..
So far I have installed Qt. But that is it, I am looking if someone
can help me in ways, direct me and review my code and provide me
better inputs

I read this, I have qt-creator installed, the options that I see with
me is just QML, so should I jump the guns or go as the manual
suggests. I have tried cmake, so it seems quite simple while compling.

In general, what would be a good way to start this project, also if
this is not on your list of priorities, I can try and help with small
jobs that might help you guys as well.

Let me know.
