Hi,

Would it be possible for the patch (or a subsequent refactor) to
recognize an environment variable tuneable to govern the commit limit?

My wife's computer has 32 GB of RAM, my desktop has 16 GB and my laptop
has 8 GB of RAM. I may wish on my desktop to use more memory (why let
it sit relatively unused?) in exchange for speed.

Cheers,
