There seem to be open bugs for applications that appear to be
unmaintained for a very long time (most since KDE 3 days or have been
replaced by newer applications):

kerry
kandy
Kwifimanager
KSokoban
kbfx
systemsettings-kde3
Khalkhi
kpdf
ktip
metabar
ksayit
kdetv
kiconedit
kugar
dcop
krecord
lanbrowsing
noatun
kjsembed
kghostview
kcontrol
kpackagekit

So are these applications unmaintained, and if so should the bugs for
these be closed as unmaintained?

I guess, as a more general question, should bugs for all applications
that were never ported to KDE 4 be closed as unmaintained? What about
applications that have been replaced by other applications
(kpackagekit, for example)

Also, the list of components on bugs.kde.org has a ton of empty,
unmaintained components besides these. Should those be hidden from
the default list of components?

Finally, it is still possible to submit bugs for these applications.
Should they be hidden from the list of applications you can submit
buts for?
