I've just committed a patch that follows your suggestion to copy the 
source-files -> no dependency to kde-runtime anymore (you're of course 
right that kde-baseapps should not depend on kde-runtime).

Thanks for setting me on CC, I most probably would have missed the 
discussion on kde-devel otherwise...
