Not necessarily... if wwe let the user choose - with a reasonable default that
could remain absolutely polite following the netiquette. And maybe one could
enter his own path - like a FTP/Fish- or other server my own, including
Dropbox or any other stuff.

:-)
Well, I am actually running some servers of my own, doing similar stuff like
the mentioned with some rsync scripts... But what I think would be cool is an
offer to end-users that works _without_ need to setup your own server or bash
scripts, just a service - that can be activated and is optional - but works.
That would only need:
- some storage wherever
- some settings as to which options/config files should be stored where
- some plausibility checks to avoid misconfiguration.
