Can you elaborate a bit more, what exactly you mean? If you just want to 
initiate voip-calls, there already are projects being worked on, to do that. 
You should have a look into the telepathy-kde project or kcall in this case. 
If asterisk is capable of storing some kind of addressbook, you should 
probably have a look into akonadi and provide an asterisk-resource to sync 
contacts between asterisk and akonadi.

Anyway, I'm just curious, what exactly you want to do.
