I noticed something weird about kscreensaver: it won't activate unless the
PowerDevil profile has at least one of the display power management settings
(standby/suspend/power off) turned on. it took me a long time to figure out why
the screensaver only fired when on battery.

from my point of view, it would make more sense if there were a separate setting
for this, for two reasons. first, it would make the activation or not of the
screensaver more explicit. second, this way the screensaver could be activated in
the performance profile, but disabled in the power saving ones, sparing cpu cycles
and battery life, while letting the display to be put on any of its power
management states.

just to justify a little more a separate setting, I would like to the screensaver
run on performance, but without letting the display to go to a power saving
state. this way I can let my noteboot act as a living picture or a slideshow.

so I propose to implement just that. as this is not the first time that I
propose to make 'more complex' some settings dialog and past attempts were
rejected, even when I already had the code running, tested, reviewed (and in one
ocassion, commited), I want to first know if anyone objects to such a setting,
and of course hear about alternatives in case of a negative.
