Hi :
First, I must to say I like KDE, and I work with KDE almost everyday.
I use Slackware13.1 and I recently upgrade to KDE 4.5.1. But to me upset,
It works more and more slowly. When dragging some window, I can clearly 
see some the burr of the edges of the window. It's not smooth. what's 
worse,when I switch between windows, The window I switch to can't show
immediately . It always show the body and main view area of the window 
first, and almost 1 second later show the toolbar and menu. I don't know 
why. And I also do not think it's the matter of my hardware. Because 
when I try to use the compiz as the window manager of KDE,although there 
are some compatibility problem, but the application windows works 
well.It is work so smoothly. And also, I used to try GNOME2.28 under 
OpenSuSe. It also works well.
I think the the most important character of linux that attract people to 
use it is it can run on even some poor performance device. KDE as one of 
the most popular Desktop environments of Linux should inherit the 
character of linux that fast,stability and high compatibility.
It's the essential.
I really hope KDE will go further and do better :-)
