The problem is happening because of this bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libxml2/+bug/309149
It is possible to download the Lucid packages and install those instead from
this page: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libxml2/2.7.6.dfsg-1ubuntu1.
I did that and it fixed the problem.
