People are commonly using the binaries number even if they don't understand 
them. If Windows or Mac tells them their document is 4.0megabytes they will 
tell their friends the document is 4.0megabytes not 4.1megabytes or 
4.0mibibytes.

So common use is binary, there is no denying that.
