This bug has been reported:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=187356, but seems that until now
nobody is sure what's the exact reason.

Unfortunately for me, UXA always hangs my X. so, as a workaround, I
use different style than Oxygen (which is the most affected). Other
widget styles still produce artifacts, but far less than oxygen and
tolerable.
