Maybe related, if one moves the cursor a little bit too far to the left or 
right, i.e. a millimetre over the last or first letter in a line, I get empty 
lines copied. If one has a look at klipper it shows an empty line as the last 
entry and the actual selection as the one before that. Thus pasting with 
middle-click pastes that empty line.
