Mmm... sorry for the "yet another post", but it looks like some of the 
things I and Anne wrote have already been discussed for systemsettings, 
as reported here:
http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/SystemSettings#TODO
In particular the note by S. Sauer seems to suggest that the task is not 
trivial. Am I right?
