Great. Thanks for the tip! After some checking I have narrowed it down to
the the settings dealing with idle actions, as Aaron has suggested. I also
now have found a bug - the powerdevil keyword helped - that deals with this
exact problem. Bug 174897 <https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=174897>.
Looks like it's being worked on.
