No, not all of KDE3 is unmaintained. But aRts certainly is; the project itself 
was closed (!) by it's maintainer, coder and designer a couple years (!!) 
back. The project is dead.

KDE3 is a misnomer, however: it's really dozens (hundreds?) of smaller 
subprojects and each will have its own lifespan. I expect KDE3's Kontact, for 
instance, to outlive most other KDE3 components due to contracts held around 
it.


... as for the rest of the discussion about who was the bigger schnozz, it's 
not useful, it's not appropriate and it's not wanted on this list. if you have 
an issue, approach the Community Working Group and let them help you sort it 
out. but sniping at people on a list is out of bounds and downright poisonous 
behaviour. thanks for your understanding in ceasing that line of conversation 
here.
