Hi,

I am the developer of kdisplay, which recently had its osd display
abilities moved into a seperate library called libkosdwidget, in order
to cleanup and simplify the kdisplay code. However, I have now run out
of things that this osd could do ( well i suppose it could play
videos/music through phonon.. ). does anyone have any suggestions
about how I can further extend its abilities? criticism and
suggestions are welcome. It is currently capable of displaying some
text, a progress bar, and an image. its color scheme can be easily
changed, and the screen position can be set regardless of the
currently connected display's resolution ( ie: the application doesn't
need to be aware of this fact ). it is also capable of closing when
clicked by the user, and closing when a certain number of seconds has
expired. you are not forced into using any of its functionality, you
could just use the text, or just the image.
