Ok! I will try to express my recent idea as simple as I can and without
technical specifications for two reasons, first I want to think and find
many things for the implementation and second I just want to publish my
idea. Many mouses and touchpads have very good abilities but because either
of the deficiency of the drivers or either of the final application
development the final user doesn't relish these features. I believe that the
development of a library for the support of those special features at kde
will help enough the usability and the usage of the environment. At other
environments like mac os x the user can do many useful things with the
touchpad, with a simple touch can change his pdf page or go to the next
photo. My idea implementation at this early stage I believe that will
contain a library for the integration of this feature at the apps, a library
with plugin system for the support of different hardware(let's say backends)
and for the adjunct of new "interaction" features. The first backend will
support synaptics touchpads(this is my touchpad type [image: :)] ). Also I
think that every application should use the advanced device abilities
specialized for their needs.
KDE 4 as we know is a revolution with many glorious technologies such as
plasma, akonadi and phonon, so I believe that at a high tech technology
environment the user needs also revolutionary input devices usage and that
is the big goal of my idea. I believe that my idea would be relative not
only with mouses and touchpad devices but also with motion detectors and
other more advanced devices. With  this technology I think that we will have
interact with plasma via a touch screen or something more extreme like
motion gloves.
Only this for now. This is just an idea and if I will find out that is
useful for the community I aim to spend enough time. I am waiting your
comments.
