Hi,

Tired of the bug #117618 on Kate 
(https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117618), I finally decided to download 
the KDE 3.5.9 source archives, hold my breath and dive into Kate's source 
code.

After many hours of debugging, I understood what happened, and finally found a 
fix for the bug.

I posted my fix on bugs.kde.org, but now, how can I make my fix validated by 
the right guys, and how can I have the commit authorization to the KDE svn? 
If it is not too late for KDE 3.5.10...

Moreover, I have played a little with kicker, and implemented the following 
things:

- My own wish #111098 (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111098). I added a 
regexp filter to the quick browser applet (See the attached image).

- I replaced the system tray big arrow button by a little themed arrow (See 
the attached image).

So, same question: How can I validate and commit these changes?

If I had time, I will try to fix the weather applet and media applet bug when 
kicker has a transparent background.
