yes... if you have an existing plasma configuration, you need to look for 
plugin=launcher in plasma-appletsrc then take the group name (e.g.  
[Containments][3][Applets][4]) and add this:

[Containments][3][Applets][4][Shortcuts]
global=Alt+F1

or you can just whipe out your plasma-appletsrc as well.

i need to write kconfig_update script for this i suppose.
