I installed openSuse11.0 (beta 2) with KDE3.5, then decided to build KDE4
stable version from source (SVN as of this morning) using kde-devel as user.
The build seemed to go okay, and I created a kde4.desktop file
in /usr/share/xsessions.

But when I started a KDE4 session for my personal userid, I had the following
behaviour.

1. The desktop background was 'squashed' into the top quarter of the screen,
and apparently corrupted both horizontally and vertically.

2. I could open up windows with, for example, alt-F2, and they would (usually)
display perfectly. However when I closed the associated app, the windows
remained in place.

I then tried a KDE4 session for kde-devel, and everything appeared okay, so I
guessed either a permission problem (unlikely) or the fact that I'd
previously used my personal userid under 3.5.

After some experimentation, I found that if I renamed my Desktop folder and
reconnected, all was well.

I'm not sure whether this is a bug or something I've done wrong!!
