I've been getting the following build error for about a week now:

[ 44%] Building CXX object \
phonon/experimental/CMakeFiles/phononexperimental.dir/ws/trunk/kdelibs-trunk/phonon/abstractvideooutput_p.o
 Linking CXX shared library ../../lib/libphononexperimental.so

make[2]: *** [lib/libphononexperimental.so.4.2.0] Error 1
make[1]: *** [phonon/experimental/CMakeFiles/phononexperimental.dir/all] Error 2
make: *** [all] Error 2

Have looked at the files in question and nothing is obvious. I'm sure
that this is not a code problem because nobody else has reported it,
so possibly something in my setup is not up-to-date? This happens with a
complete new checkout and clean build of current kdelibs and qt-copy, using:

$ uname -a
Linux keelhaul 2.6.23-gentoo-r3 #1 Wed Dec 12 11:29:59 GMT 2007 i686 AMD Athlon(tm) \
64 Processor 3500+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux $ gcc --version
gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 (Gentoo 4.1.2 p1.0.1)

warranty; not even for MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
$ cmake --version
cmake version 2.4-patch 7
$

Any help appreciated!
Regards, Jonathan
