Any news on the issue?

I really think that KDE4/Qt4 should handle font hinting just as Qt3
and Gtk do, of course if the settings are the same. I tried using the
way with "vrgb" setting, but fonts look ugly for me with this option.

I'm using Gentoo Linux with freetype 2.3.5-r2, libXft 2.1.12 patched
with newspr patch.
