James,
I think you are wrong with the above conclusions - these lead to only leave 
loosers behind:

-	the kde project which will loose your criticism/proposals/ideas, even if 
these are not always accepted 'as is' :)

-	you yourself (you name it)

that said, I can only hope you think about it once again, and stay.
