I don't really see why one would need extended >precision in this sort of application. It has been nice to have arbitrary precision support, especially for=20 rational numbers. The results are always precise, which is not the case=20 for normal floating points. We had bug reports for KCalc about the result being approximate. Telling=20 users that any floating point operation involved uncertainty and=20 precision loss didn't work very well. =2D-=20 =A0 Thiago Macieira =A0- =A0thiago (AT) macieira.info - thiago (AT) kde.org =A0 =A0 PGP/GPG: 0x6EF45358; fingerprint: =A0 =A0 E067 918B B660 DBD1 105C =A0966C 33F5 F005 6EF4 5358 --nextPart1543107.vLVFMcBUZ3 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBHVayDM/XwBW70U1gRAus3AJ9MEqN5p1wyMKn6ftWb6N4z1t4IAACglvF7 ME7Uxsi4PxAFD5di4QxnwV8= =1kMZ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1543107.vLVFMcBUZ3-- --===============0041750617== Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline >> Visit http://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-devel#unsub to unsubscribe << --===============0041750617==--
