Is the statement:

	"That is poor design practice."

offensive, because that is the point being discussed here.

I am missing your point here. When something needs improvement,
comments on how to "fix it" (i.e. improve it) are always appropriate.

Lets rewind here! Or, perhaps it would help if you reread the thread.

I made the objective comment about a specific aspect of the code:

	"This is poor design."

DEF, apparently taking this personally, made a sarcastic comment:

	"Thanks for the kind words"

> You say "As long as developers have too much ego invested in their
> code, this makes it difficult to improve it."

Was my response to his sarcastic comment.

I meant what I said:

"Nothing kind or unkind intended by an objective statement about
	how to best design things."

that comments about the code should not be taken personally and if they
are this makes it difficult to improve the code.

> So where is your patch to improve it,

An issue such as this is not resolved with a simple patch. Besides,
this is a design issue -- how does one patch the design?

> that has been rejected because of ego?

Do we really want to get into that? I don't think so.

But, please note that I have started to believe that the statement:
'where is the patch' is disingenuous since when the patch is presented,
it is not considered.

> Or are you making things up?

You are presuming a lot since my statement about ego invested in the
code was only a direct response to what DF said. So, I am not really
certain what 'things' you refer to. DF, did make that statement; I am
not making it up.
