Yes, but users don't see it this way. They think when they browse their filesystem it should look and behave like a file browser and not like a web browser. In fact I think there is another bug(s) concerning this. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96492 http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119052 http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33460 http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56730 > > I like the idea of a more proper protocol config, but I still like > > the existing view profile idea. Seems like we are on the same page then. the view profile as I was describing wasn't really for the home url. just the tabs/splits and the urls assigned to them. like how it currently is really. the only thing that would really change is we add a protocol home url accompanied by a drop down home button to house all of them. (the button is an apartment, ha ha... ) for configuration change we add a spot for Web Home URL. For the 2 protocol profiles these would serve as the location konqy will start with. -- Stephen Leaf >> Visit http://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-devel#unsub to unsubscribe <<
