Well, it can easily hit nspluginviewer during DCOP conversations or the plugin 
itself during network activity that will timeout then.

Imagine you want to look at a $RANDOM_SERVICE online video and it takes a
while to load. Now you're minimizing to free the desktop for other things 
while it loads and then later figure it even broke the connection? Bad, bad 
user experience. Of course one could argue, doing such things on battery is 
bad - but then we have to ask ourselves why people run on battery if they 
want the full user experience.
