Afaik, the nspluginviewer is an out-of-process thingy, so it should be 
possible to suspend it independend of konqi. sending it a SIGSTOP when 
minimizing/hiding the tab, and a SIGCONT when unminimizing/showing the tab 
might work.

Not sure, of course, the sigstop/cont might very well break nspluginviewer, 
just like it broke firefox. And probably  (i'm no hacker, you know that) you 
can't freeze the nspluginviewer, even if it is as out-of-process as I 
think...
