What about an option in Konqueror to stop JavaScript when minimized ?
That would help in 90% of the cases discussed here. 
I always have Nagios/cacti open in one browserwindow. And it would be very 
nice if they only reloaded the page when they are visible. And one wouldn't 
have to send Signals to processes.
