You shouldn't escalate problems to other mailing lists just because you
got no answer. Sometimes, it's not relevant to those lists.

You also forgot to add the -p switch to netstat, so that we know which
program is holding which socket open.

Finally, you seem to have found the DNS socket. To be sure, you'll have to
strace your kmail.
