of course it's not deliberate; i'm sorry it's been difficult for you, perhaps

what does your script do that you are having to make changes so often? the
last change was a few weeks ago when strigi was made a requirement. otherwise
it's generally the same dance of svn up and build kdelibs, kdebase and
whatever other modules you care to. when qt-copy is updated (which happens
relatively rarely) then you may need to build that as well (we just updated
to qt 4.3 recently). things are calming down on this front as we aproach the
various freezes, as well.
as others have mentioned it's probably easier to use kdesvn-build than your
own script, in any case.

which pages are you looking at? there is exactly one page you should be
looking at:
http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started/Build/KDE4
and it is kept up to date.
