I agree, but would go one step further. Let's just drop package management 
from KDE's area of domain. While is sounds like something nice to have, it's 
not going to satisfy most users' needs.

Despite attempts to standardize package management, it continues to be very 
system/distro specific. In addition, most medium to large distros already 
provide their own package management tools, as part of their "branding".
