No :-( ... same behaviour with QVariantList than with QList<QVariant>.
In fact, they are a typedef. I allways get: 
"Unexpected reply signature(org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.InvalidSignature)"

It seems that I'll have to use glib binding of dbus :-S
