I'm following instruction on
http://wiki.kdenews.org/tiki-index.php?page=KDE3To4 to build KDE4.

When i configure dbus (./configure .........) i get following error

checking for libxml-2.0 >= 2.6.0... configure: error: No XML library
found, check config.log for failed attempts

I'm running Kubunto 6.10 and have
libxml2_2.6.26.dfsg-2ubuntu4_i386.deb package installed.

Appreciate any help.
