I second that, but in general I don't see any real need for renaming them.

iLife, iTunes, iPod, etc? I don't see these products as "only for geeks".

Personally I like having K in the name as I can quickly determine whether an 
app is made for kde in a world otherwise populated with an abundance of gtk.
